Bret Harte Little League is always looking for responsible and enthusiastic volunteers to Manage/Coach our players. No experience is required to become a Manager/Coach, we will provide any necessary training (as well as support and encouragement) and the resources needed to help make you successful! The best volunteers are those who are able to bring added enjoyment to the game simply be being themselves.
Managers are the leaders for their team. You set the tone for your team (this includes your players, coaches, parents, spectators, and other volunteers). Communication studies show, messages are conveyed primarily by how you say it, rather than what you say. Your tone and example will have an impact on all those associated with your team and other league volunteers. The key to effective coaching is realizing your responsibility and performing your duties with care.
Coaches assist the team manger with practice plans, preparing the fields, and working with the players.
As Managers/Coaches, your job is to create a safe environment for kids to learn baseball, develop skills, and grow as a team. Be competitive, but most importantly – have fun!!
If you would like to Manage or assist with coaching a team please reach out to Joey Pillati, our Coaching Coordinator at [email protected]
